About these terms

Rivaloria is a website of sports knowledge games, run by Northway Media Oy (business ID 3581290-6), Turku, Finland. These terms are the agreement between you and us for using it.

By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

What we offer

The games are free to play. The site is paid for by advertising.

We add, change and remove games, and now and then the site will be unavailable. We try to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise that it always will be, or that any game or feature will stay.

Accounts

You can play without an account. An account is free and keeps your scores, your history and your challenges.

To create one you must be 16 or older. Use an email address that is yours, keep your login to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

Other players see your display name. It must not be offensive, misleading or someone else's name used to pass as them. We may change or remove a display name that is.

You can delete your account at any time on your account page. That removes it and everything you have played.

Playing fair

You agree not to:

• play or collect answers with scripts, bots or other automated means;
• copy the site's content in bulk, or build another service from it;
• try to get at answers, other people's accounts or parts of the site that are not meant for you;
• disturb the site or its security, or put more load on it than ordinary play does;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

If you do, we may remove results, close your account or block your access.

Scores, challenges and leaderboards

They are for fun. Nothing is won, and no score is worth money. We may correct or remove a result that was not fairly made, or that a fault of ours produced.

Who owns what

The site, its design, its games and its name and logo belong to Northway Media Oy or to those who have licensed them to us. You may use the site for yourself; you may not reuse it commercially without our written agreement.

The photographs belong to their photographers. Each is used under the licence named with its credit, which you find with the game once a photograph is solved.

Records, line-ups and careers are compiled from public sources, which are named on the pages that use them.

Getting it right

We check what we publish and date what can change, but sport moves and sources differ: we cannot promise that every fact is right or current. If you find a mistake, please tell us.

Advertising and other sites

The site may show advertisements and link to other websites. We do not run those websites and are not responsible for what they offer or do.

Our responsibility

The site is offered as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, or for loss arising from the site being unavailable or from a mistake in its content.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under laws that cannot be set aside by agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change matters to how you use the site, we will say so on the site before it takes effect. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Finland.

If we cannot settle a disagreement between us, it is heard by the District Court of Southwest Finland. If you are a consumer, you may instead bring it before the court where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country.

A consumer in Finland can also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi), after first contacting the Consumer Advisory Services.
